So very thankful....

As we enter the Thanksgiving season, it's time to reflect on all of the blessings that we each receive.   Although the fall has brought many challenges, these challenges have made us stronger.  The #RCEStrong has much meaning to the families in the RCE community.  We are strong, and we are strong because of the community.  Thankful.....I am thankful for a great school with strong students and creative teachers.  I am thankful for the opportunity every day to interact with students who bring suggestions and ideas to the table that can make a difference.  I am thankful for the time I get to share with students - to encourage them to learn more, try harder, and never give up.  I am thankful for a school supports the students and their endeavors and parents who give until they can give no more.  We are a blessed community!  Enjoy your Thanksgiving time with friends and family.  No matter how displaced we are, we are a blessed community!

Thanksgiving means the Kindergarten Thanksgiving Program.  This year they did a great job entertaining parents, siblings, and grandparents.  Way to go Kindergarten!

Fifth grade loves Science - perhaps it's because Mrs. Charles loves Science....and usually Science means activity such as the Force and Motion experiments.    Life is good in fifth grade.

Our Chess Team represented Rummel Creek with pride.  The team won first place.  Congratulations team!  Listening in to the chess club lesson this week...I know there is another tournament in December.....hoping the team does well at the December event!  #RCEStrong!
Christian Nafziger (Sammons), Matthew Le (Machen), Vidhaat Barmecha (Schubert), Liam Maglalang (Schubert), Lock Walker (Briggs), and Yatharth Barmecha (Tacker).  Harry Haywood (Hiner) - is not in the photo.  Congratulations boys!

Congratulations to some of our football boys - they are on their way to the Tully Bowl.  Show your Roadrunner Strong pride this weekend as you play football at Tully Stadium.  Way to go!
The Fifth Grade Aggies include Thomas Buchert, Tyler Fewell, and Rylan Reichenau.  The Spartan's made up of 1st - 3rd grade boys include: Reed Barbles, Westy Bennett, Cinco Brothers, Jackson Davis, Eli Dominguez, Bryce Dupre, Sam Fields, Quinn Fitzpatrick, James Gardner, Hunter Gilbert, John Hearne, Conner Johnson, Davis Kulka, Lance Malloy, Alex McLeod, Landry Reichenau, Gage Rogers, Caden Stone, Hayden Thomas, and Graham Walker.  Sending you good thoughts for your games.  No matter how the game goes - you are all winners in our eyes.

Our LOST and FOUND is full - so many beautiful jackets, vests, lunch boxes, water bottles and more.  After the holidays, most of our lost and found will go to the Coat Drive for Sherwood Elementary!  Come and claim your lost items.  We've been sharing every day on KRCE, but not too many have been picked up by students.

Just some photos around the library with students involved in various activities....using their creative imaginations or just hanging around reading a book!

If you happen to visit the cafeteria around 2:00 - you may just hear a little Christmas music....fourth grade is practicing for the Nutcraker.  Looks like it will be another great show!

The week we return to school after the holiday is Book Fair.  Tuesday - Thursday are sales.  We'll be open on Thursday night until 7 - and open briefly on Friday morning for those last minute purchases.  The choir will sing sometime on Thursday night - we're still working on the details.  Thank you for always supporting the library and its programs.

The November / December KRCE crew is on their toes.  Can't wait to see what they produce in December...

In this Thankful season - here is a video of a few students sharing how much they love their teachers at RCE.

Happy Thanksgiving.  Enjoy the time with friends and family.  Be safe. Be happy. Be Thankful.  Just BE!  #RCEStrong!
