A little slow start this week.....but we ended with a bang!

It's always a little slow getting back after Spring Break.  It seems that we all get away.....decide to sleep late ....stay up late....and then....oh my, it's not summer - it was just Spring Break and we must return back to school!

Monday morning came early.  The car rider lane was full and students were coming in late.  One of the KRCE students made it on time, but had been on the plane early that morning!  What a way to start the week.  Students came in and shared all of their exciting adventures - I think tons of our students were skiing in Colorado!  If they weren't skiing - they were enjoying the Rodeo right here in Houston!

Very quickly, the students returned to their routines....it didn't take long for the students to realize that they still had 9 more weeks of school before summer!  Homework, Rockin' Roadrunners, Choir, Chess, and afterschool activities were back in full form!  Next week.....the STAAR test!

Student Council students are busy working on projects to bring cheer to the teachers at Sherwood.

This week the winner of the Spirit Stick is Ms. Ramey's First Grade Class for STRONG IMPROVEMENT.  Way to go Ms. Ramey's class!

Friday morning was also the PreK Art Car Parade - so much fun seeing the creations the PreK students made.  Everyone in the whole school was out in the hallways to see this year's cars!

March Book Madness at Rummel Creek Elementary is in full swing.  Students are voting on their favorite books each week to see which Fiction book and Everybody Book is the final winner.  Voting results from this week will be posted in the windows of the library by Monday afternoon!  It's been fun seeing the results!  (And students are reading more books from the list!)

Thank you PTA for our new chairs in the library!  As one of the fourth graders commented this week:  "You've been upgraded in the library with these chairs."

Have a great weekend!
