Another Busy Week at the Creek.

Actually, we need to go back to last week!  Just after the blog was posted, fifth grade received their shirts.  The fifth graders are so excited to get their class shirts, this is the beginning of the countdown to Graduation and Boogie down Brittmoore!

Moms and Dads of Fifth graders ....the clock is moving faster and faster to the end of elementary school!

Students are loving Urban Garden and their lessons.  Thank you PTA for providing another great activity for the students at RCE!

So much fun learning about what we eat.

Mrs. Hiner's father visited first grade and shared about rocks.  Mr. VanderLinden is a geologist.  He knows all about rocks.  He was even able to identify the rocks that were donated by a past parent.  We were very thankful that he could tell us what we have.

We are so lucky to have parents of students and teachers who come and share all of their knowledge and interests.  Thank you Mr. VanderLinden.

The Library is full of activity again - Makerspaces and lessons on using databases.  The Think Through Math group comes in every morning to work on Math.  (Thank you PTA for giving those ipads so many years ago - they are still in use daily!)  Students in Grades 3-5 also voted for their favorite Bluebonnet title.  We'll have a report of votes from Rummel Creek and the state of Texas votes soon!  New Bluebonnet titles will be on the shelves soon as well.

Watch Dogs were back on campus again this week.  Thank you dads for giving your time to Rummel Creek.

Science Fair was a hit!  Students did an awesome job on their experiments and then.....Mr. Howard!
Thank you parents for coming up for Science Fair.

Spirit Stick this week goes to Mrs. Davis' First Grade Class.  Way to go!

Next week we will have author Jerry Pallotta at RCE on Wednesday, February 1st.  Should be a very fun day.  Coming soon is the Healthy Challenge sponsored by KCHAC.  Take a look.  We'll get all of the Roadrunners healthy and in GREAT SHAPE!

Have a great weekend - do something fun!
