2016-17 Is in the Books - We finished STRONG!

The last week at the Creek, the final 3 days of the 2016-17 school year are over.  The students have left the building.  It's quiet!  The clouds are building.  We're waiting for rain.  I'm holding back tears....watching the Fifth Grade students run down Brittmoore for Boogie Down Brittmoore -  always the signal the end of another year, the graduation of another whole group of students.....the end!   Each group of Fifth Graders has their own personality, their own I.D., and their own game plan.  This year was no different.   These students have passion.  They will accomplish what is in their passion.  They are also a class of strong individuals that are not swayed by the group.  Next year the RCE class of 2017 has students going to WAIS, Cornerstone and Memorial Middle.  Good Luck Roadrunners!  Be Strong!  Be Proud!

We had a group of students that worked hard to earn money as an extra gift for our hard working custodians.  Thank you for being outstanding caring students!  Love seeing Roadrunners taking the initiative to help others!

So, it was the last week of school.  So many activities, so many things going on.  Lots of photos following in this blog post.  Enjoy reflecting on a great end of school!

It's a Fifth Grade kind of week!

Fifth Grade Talent Show - who knew we had some outstanding talent at RCE?

Fifth Grade Wax Museum.....it's always so interesting to see what famous person the students will select.  This year we had a lot of unusual ones!  So impressed with the Fifth Graders' work.

Last Spirit Rally of the 2016-17 school year.  Enjoyed hearing the 3rd grade recorders, 4th and 5th grade choir, and 5th grade Rockin' Roadrunners!  Sad to have the school year over!

Oh yeah!....Fifth grade received the Spirit Stick!
